More news…. (we can’t contain ourselves?)
Yesterday was the announcment about the exciting changes to the Resume Builder.
Today is about the improvements we’ve made to the Automatic Job Leads section. Simply put, we now have all the job listings from major job boards, newspapers, associations and company career pages – Indeed we do.

How can we do this? – well we’re including jobs listing from Indeed. It’s easy to set up – as you can see above, just enter two fields and you will get all the jobs they’ve aggregated, and any new jobs automatically
If you have some Niche job boards your following (and they’re not included with the indeed jobs), you can still add them too. Just add their URL and we’ll go and get the feed for you.
There’s no limit to the number of job site feeds you can add

Just think how much time you’ll save and jobs you won’t miss, by not having to go to all those job sites individually.
See how easy it is to set up, check out the VIDEO
Or go right ahead, Sign up and try it for yourself.

Can you bring dogs into a blog for job seekers? Well if recruiters Carl and Heather can then why not, besides it’s my party blog and I’ll cry blog if I want to.
I’d grown up with dogs, and because of one excuse or another I’d pretty much not had a dog since then. Then early last year, I started missing having a dog around. I figured out if the dog was female, house-broken, somewhat trained and not anti-social towards dogs, people or kids, then it would work out.
And so last July, just before Isabont came out of closed beta testing, I adopted Zoey. A two year old Chocolate lab.

What struck me most about Zoey is her gregariousness. We’ll be out walking and whoever she meets, they are automatically a new friend.
There’s no hesitation – she’s not met you – therefore you are a new friend.
If she has met you already, then your an old friend and get an even bigger greeting (and I thought that wasn’t possible).
As a Brit, we tend to be a little reserved, somewhat standoffish even. What dawned on me a little while ago was how much better it would be to have Zoey’s mindset.
I’ve not met you, therefore your a new friend; we’ve already met, your an old friend.
Now if I could just get that tail-wagging thing going, I’d be all set.

I love cell phones… most of the time.
I like the way you can contact others wherever they are, and vice versa, the times I don’t like cell phones is when someone tries to call me when I’m not really able to take the call, but somehow curiosity gets the better of me and I hit the green button instead of the red button.
And so it was for this woman at the store yesterday .
As she took the call it started like it was a telemarketing call, but you could tell whoever was at the other end of the call was asking some questions that she found really hard to answer. As I was close enough to hear her, I kept getting the distinct impression that it may have been a recruiter (well it could have been !), and I wondered how the other person was viewing this call.
Lets say it was a recruiter. The cagey and unresponsive way she’s answering the questions can’t be making a good impression.
So I was wondered how often does this happen to job seekers, especially if they’re still employed and they take the call while at work? If you find yourself in this predicament, I’d suggest first don’t take the call, but, if your like me and curiosity gets the better of you, here are some things you can say that may help.
“It’s not convient for me to speak right now, when can I call you back”
“I’m not somewhere I can speak freely. But if you’re OK with a one sided yes/no conversation we can try and have the call now. Else when can I call you back.”
“That’s not somthing I can answer now because of where I am, when can I call you back”
I’m sure there are others that can be added to the list

Last night we finished putting the final touches on three new resume styles that are now available for you to use: Brooklyn, Sydney and London.
If you were wondering where the original styles Tower and Mackinac got their names, the new styles should help you out.

Isabont = is+a+bont, (bont is bridge in Welsh)
Bridges help to get you from one place to another, one job to another or one career to another.
Log in and create a free account, to try out the new resume styles.
